Matt works in a number of local schools providing individual and group lessons in all brass instruments across a wide variety of ages. Through his teaching Matt aims to encourage and guide his students to achieve their goal whether it be playing for fun or something they wish to take more seriously.

Conducting and directing has become an increasing part of Matts work over the last few years. Through this work he aims to draw the best from the ensemble, it doesn’t matter if it is a junior group or a more advanced line up Matt will work with them to play their music well in a fun environment.

He can also organise and conduct lunchtime and afterschool ensembles ranging from Trombone Groups, Brass Bands and concert bands to orchestras and Jazz groups.

He is enthusiastic about music and youngsters and strives to promote and extend music offered within the school environment.
