Matt is an accomplished musician and experienced brass teacher in Luton

Matt is a musician and brass teacher based in Luton, South Bedfordshire. He has over 20 years experience working within Luton Music Service and teaching private students. He offers lessons on a wide range of brass instruments in addition to teaching music theory.

Matt is an accomplished performer and has conducted and directed many youth and adult ensemble as well as playing in many ensembles and bands including Military, Jazz bands, pit orchestras and brass groups. He has worked in numerous schools in the area and is a regular teacher at Luton Saturday Music School. He is also a conductor with the Luton Youth Concert Band and Luton Youth Jazz Orchestra.

Matt believes that learning an instrument should allow students to reach their full musical potential whilst always keeping it fun. He is fully CRB/DBS checked and has a working knowledge of the current music examination syllabuses.

Matt enjoys sharing his love of Brass with adults and children alike. He believes that learning an instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, actively encouraging his pupils to research and choose repertoire that they want to learn, whilst offering support and guidance along the way.
